RBC Dexia Investor Services (RBC Dexia) was established in 2006 and is a joint venture of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Dexia. RBC Dexia offers institutional investors worldwide an integrated suite of products, including global custody, fund and pension administration, securities lending, shareholder services, analytics and other related services. With USD 2.9 trillion in client assets under administration, RBC Dexia Investor Services ranks among the world’s top 10 global custodians.

Following the creation of the joint venture, RBC Dexia needed an inventory and assessment of their multiple web channel platforms and associated technologies. Knowing what was available, and the long term suitability of each application, an Enterprise Web Roadmap could be built. To provide the inventory and an unbiased assessment of their technologies RBC Dexia relied on Intelliware.

Intelliware analyzed the legacy platforms and applications within RBC and Dexia and assessed them from both a business and technical perspective. During the development of the Enterprise Web Roadmap the Intelliware team reviewed the long term suitability of the various applications and created a plan for a new enterprise-wide portal. The plan involved integrating existing data sources and applications and recommended developing some new applications.
